What is Wii MotionPlus? WiiMotion Plus is a hardware attachment that
clips onto the base of the Wii Remote control. The Wii Remote is good
at tracking basic movements, accelerations and distances, but it doesn't
do this too well at 1:1 motion and positional tracking. For example it
was easy to cheat in Wii Sports tennis, you could easily win a game without
even leaving your sofa. Wii MotionPlus will track your hand position with
much more precision.
Wii Motion Plus or Wii MotionPlus? Despite what some news sources have reported,
the correct name for Nintendo's new motion sensing add-on is Wii MotionPlus,
not Wii Motion Plus. So two words, not three.
Wii Sports Resort bundles to come later Wii MotionPlus will be bundled with
Wii Sports Resort, but not until after its own release. In the meantime,
if you buy Wii MotionPlus now you will be able to play Tiger Woods PGA
Tour 2010, Virtua Tennis 2009 and EA Grand Slam Tennis. We will be compiling
a list of Wii MotionPlus compatible games soon.
Electronic Arts to bundle Wii MotionPlus EA have now confirmed that Tiger Woods PGA
Tour 10 and EA Grand Slam Tennis will both come bundled with the Wii MotionPlus
hardware device. Both of these Wii MotionPlus bundles will retail at £49.99.
Peter Moore, president of EA Sports stated that this is an "exclusive
and limited time offer". EA are reported to have a further 3 Wii
games in development that will support Wii MotionPlus.
Wii MotionPlus 1:1 demonstration - Grand Slam Tennis Thomas
Singleton demonstrates the accuracy of Wii MotionPlus and its 1:1
motion tracking capabilities. Grand Slam tennis with Wii MotionPlus looks
like the most authentic tennis ever seen on any console.
Wii MotionPlus games Ubisoft
have already announced a Wii MotionPlus only game. This game will not
work at all without Wii MotionPlus and you can expect more Wii MotionPlus
only games to follow. Wii MotionPlus promises to bring true 1:1 motion
tracking to the Wii, which is what most people thought they were buying
into when they bought the console.

Bandai have teamed up with the US television network, Food
Network to produce a Wii MotionPlus based cooking game called Food
Network: Cook or Be Cooked. It may sound a bit bizarre, but the Cooking
Mama series of games did really well on the Wii and DS. This game (as
do all Wii MotionPlus games) promises a much more realistic experience.
Wii Sports Resort - Ping Pong and Golf added
A short Japanese Wii Sports Resort commercial has revealed that Ping Pong
and Golf will be two of the mini-games featured in Wii Sports Resort.

Sega Virtua Tennis 2009 trailerSega have released a new trailer for its soon
to be released Wii MotionPlus game, Virtua Tennis 2009. The line up of
players include Andy Murray, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams

The Grinder to support Wii MotionPlus IGN's new version of Left 4 Dead killfest, The Grinder
has been announced for the Wii console. The game supports up to four players
in co-op mode and two players on the same console in split screen mode.
The Grinder will support Nintendo WiFi, Wii
Speak and Wii Motion Plus of course.
