Note: Follow this link if you're looking for a Wii console with Wii Sports Active bundle EA Sports Active is a fitness game exclusive to the Wii console. EA Sports Active is packed with fun, easy to learn excercises that you can do along with your friends. In fact there are over 20 excercises and activities. Upper and lower body movements are tracked by the Wii remote in an innovative new way. Lower body movements are tracked by either the Wii balance board or the Wii remote tucked into one of the 2 provided leg bands (one for you and one for a friend). Whilst performing squats, the Wii remote sits in your leg band and tracks the angle of your thigh, enabling you to see a 1:1 representation of what you're doing, on the screen. Unlike Wii Fit, EA Sports Active includes a resistance band that can be used to really work your upper body. This is a nice addition, because sometimes the weight of your own body is not enough to give you a good workout. In the video you can see the bicep and shoulder resistance excercises. Just like Wii Fit you can you can set goals and track your progress. The EA Sports Active version of this is the 30 day challenge. For all you stats freaks there's even a realtime calorie counter. This can be a good motivator for some people and will also make you think about your diet when you see just how long it takes to burn a few hundred calories! If you've tried Wii Fit and are looking for something a bit different, this Wii balance board compatible fitness game is well worth trying.
