All Star Cheer Leader

All Star Cheer Leader (UK name) is another game that makes use of the Wii fit balance board

All Star Cheer Leader is aimed at the female gaming community. The User will have to use the Wii remote and nun chuck to perform real life cheerleading dance moves. The Wii fit balance board allows the user to involve their whole body in the game, making the game more interactive and making it feel more realistic. All Star Cheer Leader will also be available on the Nintendo DS.

Don King Presents Prizefighter Boxing

Don King Presents Prizefighter Boxing is a boxing game that has really been taken to the next level. Don King Prizefighter Boxing story mode allows the user to make some early decisions that maps out the fighter's career. It focuses on what the fighter does outside of the ring and this affects his abilities in the ring.

To start players can choose to hit the gym building to improve the fighter's abilities and attributes, training includes exercises like jump rope and push ups. They can also go out on dates with the card girls and get headline stories which builds fighter's popularity with the fans. Don King Prizefighter Boxing is compatible with the Wii fit Balance board. The use of the balance board is limited to the training though, as there's not much use for it in the fights themselves.

EA Sports Active

EA Sports Active is a fitness game exclusive to the Wii console. EA Sports Active is packed with fun, easy to learn excercises that you can do along with your friends. In fact there are over 20 excercises and activities.

Upper and lower body movements are tracked by the Wii remote in an innovative new way. Lower body movements are tracked by either the Wii balance board or the Wii remote tucked into one of the 2 provided leg bands (one for you and one for a friend). Whilst performing squats, the Wii remote sits in your leg band and tracks the angle of your thigh, enabling you to see a 1:1 representation of what you're doing, on the screen.

Unlike Wii Fit, EA Sports Active includes a resistance band that can be used to really work your upper body. This is a nice addition, because sometimes the weight of your own body is not enough to give you a good workout. In the video you can see the bicep and shoulder resistance excercises.

Just like Wii Fit you can you can set goals and track your progress. The EA Sports Active version of this is the 30 day challenge. For all you stats freaks there's even a realtime calorie counter. This can be a good motivator for some people and will also make you think about your diet when you see just how long it takes to burn a few hundred calories!

If you've tried Wii Fit and are looking for something a bit different, this Wii balance board compatible fitness game is well worth trying.

Family Ski

Family Ski is exactly what it sounds like. it's a skiing game for the whole family. Family Ski is a much more advanced version of the skiing game on Wii Fit. The characters in Family Ski are fully customisable with over 170 different types of Ski gear and 200 character combinations.

Family Ski makes use of both the Wii remote, Nunchuck and the Wii balance board. Players stand on the board as if it was a pair of skis and the controllers are used as the Ski poles. There are also set buttons combinations to pull off maneavours such as the snow plough. The game allows up to 4 players to play but unfortunately the Wii balance board can only be used by one player at a time, multiple balance boards are not an option. There are also lots of different games to play from simple stuff like descending a mountain or free roam, to more complicated stuff like the slalom. Families are going to love Family Ski!

G1 jockey 2008

Unlike its predecessor G1 jockey, G1 Jockey 2008 is set to be a big hit on the Wii console, all thanks to the way the player can use a Wii Balance Board to ride the horse. The first version of G1 jockey on the Wii was a mediocre game at best, but as we've seen before with Nintendo's party games, pairing up the right game with the right control method can make a mediocre game great.

Players mount a virtual horse and judder up and down on their Wii board to mimick the movement of a jockey. The Wii remote and nunchuk also come into play. Use your Wii remote when the time is right to whip your steed and gain speed. Not a game for the animal rights brigade then!

Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009

Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 is not unlike Wii fit in that it is all about fitness. In this game there are 4 workout types for the player to choose from. There is a category for weight loss, strength training, Intervals and hill climb.

The game uses the Wii remote and nunchuck as well as the Wii Fit balance board. You can set the difficulty and select the duration between 10 and 60 minutes. Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum 2009 consists of different challenges such as Rowing and log jumping. There is even a head to head game mode where 2 players can compete against each other. Fitness Ultimatum 2009 also allows the player to check their stats seeing how many calories they've burned based on which levels they've worked on and how long they've worked for. This truly is the ultimate way to keep fit indoors. You might consider this game if you're getting bored with Wii Fit.

Just Dance Wii

Just Dance Wii is Ubisoft's biggest selling Wii title to date. Just Dance was released in November 2009 and due to stock shortages, did not reach the number one spot. After the Xmas rush the stock situation was sorted out and Just Dance knocked Modern Warfare 2 off the top of the all formats chart

If you're looking to find Just Dance in stock at the best price then check our stock locator / price comparison table to see where Just Dance is in stock today.

Kororinpa 2

Kororinpa 2 is a game where you take control of a marble and guide it through a series of mazes.

Kororinpa 2 has over 100 more levels than Kororinpa 1 and some of these levels are now compatible with the Wii Fit balance board. One level even has you taking control of an Ant, which you have to guide to a Sunflower Seed for the good of his colony. There's even a 4 player head to head multiplayer option.

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party is the next instalment in this crazy series. In this version of the game the Rabbids take control of Raymans TV station for a week.

Each day of the week has different mini games and some allowing the user to make the most of their balance board. In one of these mini games Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party allows the user to use the Wii fit balance board as a sled where the user has to sit down and guide the sled by leaning left and right. TV Party also allows up to 8 players to play in a turn based mode and allows 4 players to play all at once. You can be sure that Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party will make use of the balance board in ways that you couldn't imagine.

RTL Biathlon 2009

RTL Biathlon 2009 is the latest game in the RTL Biathlon series.

RTL Biathlon 2009 has been built completely from scratch and has improved graphics and sounds affects. The new RTL Biathlon 2009 will also include 5 brand new courses giving the gamer new experiences and new adventures. It is also compatible with the Wii Fit board and the Wii Zapper, giving the player much more immersion in the game. RTL Biathlon 2009 should be released in the 4th quarter of 2008.

Shape Boxing Wii de Enjoy Diet

Shape Boxing Wii de Enjoy Diet is a boxing fitness game that has been released for the Nintendo Wii. This is a more in depth version than the boxing we have seen in Wii Sports.

The game still has cartoon based graphics but Nintendo's Mii characters are no longer available. There are 28 different exercises to choose from. The game takes the boxer's stance into consideration when using the Wii Fit balance board and there are many exercises that make use of the Wii fit balance board. Shape Boxing Wii de Enjoy Diet also offers advice throughout the game of how to stay fit and or get in shape.

Shaun White Snowboarding

Shaun White Snowboarding for the Nintendo Wii is the first proper snow boarding game to be compatible with the Wii fit balance board. Shaun whites snowboarding allows the user to stand on the Wii balance board sideways and use it as the snowboard.

This makes for a better gaming experience as the wii fit board will detect the movement of the user and translate that movement into snowboarding moves in the game. For example if the User leans to the left then so will the character. Also when it comes to jumping, the character will jump higher depending on how much power the user puts into the jump. The Pro Snowboarder Shaun white is worked very closely with Ubisoft to make Shaun White's snowboarding, so you can be sure that the game will have all the detail you'd expect in terms of physical movement and mountain scenery.

Skate City Heroes

Skate City Heroes is another skateboarding game that makes use of the Wii Fit balance board. The storyline starts with your friend being captured by your enemy known as Virus. The only way to free your friend is to impress him with your moves.

The game itself has taken a different approach to most skating games and has gone for a futuristic setting with cartoon style graphics. This may not be a game for the more mature skater, but younger kids should like it.

Skate It Nintendo Wii

Skate It is set in the original Skate city - San Venelona, after a series of disasters have scarred the city. This is where the storyline of the new game picks up.

In Skate It you will meet and be challenged by pro skaters and sometimes compete against them. Skate It allows the player to use the Wii Fit balance board as the skateboard. This allows the player to turn left and right and jump using the front or back of the board (Ollie or Nollie) depending on where the player puts the pressure on the Wii Fit balance board. Then to pull off tricks the Wii uses a feature called the Flick it technique, this is where you use the Wii Remote and nunchuck to do the tricks by flicking in certain direction or by making different movements.

Skateboarding and the Wii Balance Board are the perfect combination, making this a must have game for anyone with a Wii Balance Board.

Wii Music mini review

Did you ever dream of being in a band, but you didn't have the time or patience to learn to play a musical instrument? Well Wii Music skips past the tricky business of learning your scales and struggling with chords. With Wii Music all you have to do is mimic the simple motions of the instrument.

For example to play a drum you simply drum with the Wii remote and Nunchuk, to play a guitar you just need to strum. Air guitarists are going to love this game

You can play in a band with up to four players. You each get to choose from a selection of 60 instruments, you then choose a song and how you want to play it. Songs can be played in different styles from rock to jazz style. All of these choices give you an almost endless way to play music.

Wii Music even makes use of the Wii balance board. When drumming for example the balance board becomes your foot pedals, used to operate the bass and the hi-hat cymbals. Wii Music is also compatible with Nintendo Mii characters and WiiConnect24. After you've perfected a song you can send your recording to your friends using Wii Connect24 and they will see your Mii characters playing on their screens.
